Your photos stay on your device.
SnapSelect’s core features run locally. Your photos, shooting metadata, and classification results are not sent to the cloud. SnapSelect does not auto-post to social media or use external AI to analyze your images.
- Processing records stay on your device. Photo identifiers, classifications, shooting metadata, and processing timestamps are stored locally.
- Your original photos are left untouched. SnapSelect does not delete, move, or edit originals. It only adds matches to a SnapSelect album in Photos.
- You control photo access. If you grant limited access, SnapSelect only checks the photos you have selected.

Frequently asked questions
Are my photos sent to a server?
No. Photos, videos, and shooting metadata are processed on your device and are not uploaded to SnapSelect servers.
Will SnapSelect delete or move my originals?
No. SnapSelect never deletes, moves, or modifies your original photos. It only adds matches to a SnapSelect album in Photos.
Can every photo be identified perfectly?
No. Photos with missing metadata, exports from editing apps, or ambiguous information may be marked as uncertain for review.
Is there an Android version?
It is currently in development. SnapSelect is available for iOS on the App Store today.
Does SnapSelect post to social media for me?
No. SnapSelect helps you find photos before you post. You stay in control of where and when you share.
